Legalised slavery still exist in Asia!

It is evil that many asians, eg, in Malaysia still practiced a kind of slavery in their own private households as well as in their public workplace, where their maids (from Indonesia, etc) are expected to be oncall, on their beck and call, so to speak, twenty four hours a day, seven days a week and paying a pittance.
I think it is most inhumane to hold a maid (no matter how obliging or how bad the maid is) like a slave prisoner, even if it is for a limited duration.
You do not expect this kind of slavery to be happening in the 21st century, but the fact that this kind of thing exist is shameful.
Asia may be on the way of achieving all sorts of accolodes for their physical development, but their lacking of humanity on the part of employer, as well as employees is most disturbing. It may not be an eternal bondage thing, but it is still a deplorable way to run a household or a country, and should not be tolerated.
Ironically, in their quest to enslave a foreigner, they end up retarding their own progress.
Those asians who are into this kind of thing or are involved in this kind of thing should stop this kind of thing before they end up being a slave to their own immoral bad habits.
This is one of the most inhumane way for a socalled modern society in Asia to advance or exist.
